WHY A-QuEST?

Q1: Where are you located in the Caribbean?

A: We are a sole proprietorship based in Jamaica that offers virtual services. From time to time, A-QuEST students are invited to a coordinated convening for any of the following, in Jamaica or other Caribbean islands:

- A-QuEST Class Retreats

- A-QuEST Alumni Retreats

- ACT Examination Group Sittings (Where the ACT Organization has not selected Jamaican testing centers since 2022).

Q2: Why are you only online? Is/was there a physical office?

A: The online space is so versatile for learning and offers a great base for seamless, secure and safeguarded communication. Students or Graduates get to work from the comfort of their home, after their extracurricular and school / work activities are through for the day. There is currently no location for in-person consultations, however A-QuEST once maintained its consultations on school and business campuses. Since 1987 through to 2012, these included but were not limited to, The Queen's School, Porus High School, Manchester High School, Jamaica Theological Seminary, The Hotel Comingle, The China House Restaurant, Mandeville Hotel, Hampton School, Glenmuir Preparatory School, Holy Childhood High School, Golden Grove Primary School in Jamaica's Saint Thomas Parish, Burger King Montego Bay, Old Harbour High School, and Decartret College. Q3: What do A-QuEST Classes entail? What's your price range?

Q4: How much weight do my CXC, A-Level, GSCE, IGSCE, AP Grades hold in A-QuEST admission?

A: All interested Caribbean, North American, and English students, gap year takers, undergraduates, graduates and young adults* may consult with us, with special consideration for those with CXC Passes in CSEC or O-Level Mathematics and English Language, and at least two 2-unit Subjects at the CAPE or A-Level Exams.  If you have attained AP Scores of 5, and 4 you are also welcome to learn with A-Q.

Kindly state clearly in your prospective telephone interview, if you have or have not completed CSEC External Examinations (Grade 9, Grade 10 and Grade 11 Students who are OR are not currently sitting or awaiting results). Student leaders, Community leaders, and any Applicant with good or great achievements/involvement in extracurricular and volunteer activity, are highly encouraged to interview.

Q5: Can Grade 9 or Grade 10 Students get involved early in A-Q College Preparation? Is there an age limit*?

We welcome junior high school students, even from Grades 9 and 10. It's never too early (or late) to curate your academic footsteps. However, Grade 9 and Grade 10 students will be exempt from applying via the CommonApp or Coalition applications, for instance, during their 1st year with A-QuEST. The class lessons go over such processes in detail so that their later years with A-QuEST will have them completing requisite applications with ease.

N.B. Parents/ College Graduates: There are no surcharges past your first payment to A-QuEST, and no pop-up, hidden, or unwarranted fees other than your one-time bill. Any contributions that are requested will be thoroughly disclosed and only linked to examination sitting trips** for the ACT only. The SAT is held in Jamaica at the following schools:
